Borrow tools, take classes, and feel empowered to fix, build, or make just about anything! From hammers to welders we have over 3,000 tools you can borrow and learn - we have over 35 different classes from home repair basics to furniture making.

Hand-Dipped Beeswax Candles
This is a great class to bring a friend to! Come learn how to make dipped beeswax candles! We will go over the basics of how to handle and care for beeswax, prepare wick for dipping, and the general techniques on how to build up the body of the candle.
Tuesday 6/23
Natural Dyeing
Learn to naturally dye a silk pillowcase and a cotton drawstring bag using 2 methods of natural dyeing: bundle dying + dip dyeing! Using a variety of dried flowers, roots, bark, and even bugs, students will print natural materials onto silk by rolling, tying, and steaming bundles of their own design.

Thank you to everyone who came out in support of repair and reuse at this past Saturday’s EcoLoop event brought to you by DPW . The Station North Tool Library, along with our partners, hosted a FREE bike repair clinic during the event. We are proud to say that we fixed 60 bikes (!!!!) AND generated an immeasurable amount of joy

Sewing Patterns: Bucket Hat!

Take the next step in your sewing journey and learn to use flat pattern pieces to construct a three dimensional object- a bucket hat! Before class, students will receive instructions on sourcing and prepping materials and taking accurate measurements for proper fit. In class, students will go through the process of cutting out their pattern pieces, assembling seams, and topstitching their hat all while learning about different fabric properties, project planning, and sewing “notions”- materials that make your handmade project feel more professional.
This class is suitable for students with some prior sewing experience. The following skills are necessary to have prior to taking this class:
Setting up a sewing machine
Straight stitching on a sewing machine
Sewing basic seams
*To learn these skills, please take one of the intro sewing classes such as Sewing Machine Basics OR Fundamentals of Machine Stitching.
Prerequisite- Some sewing experience is required.
Tools Used- Sewing machines, scissors, tape measures, irons.
Materials- Students will source their own fabric for this class. All other materials (interfacing + thread) are provided.
Class Time- 4 hours
Cost-$85
