Amongst all the other stations for fixing, we have a skilled and knowledgeable team of volunteer menders who are ready to get your holes patched, buttons sewed and hems lined up! Please bring clean clothes and items that do not need too many alterations.

Tinkering is one of our most popular fixing categories! Take note of what to bring and maybe more importantly what NOT to bring- we want to set everyone up for success and get as many items fixed as possible!

We love bringing back your everyday or extra special items back to life at Fix It Fair. What 2 items are you bringing?

Join us at the Station North Tool Library (417 E Oliver St.) for a FREE, family friendly day of fixing and fun. Bring in broken items from home and our team of experienced fixers will be on site to help with repairs. You will work with our fixers to diagnose and try to fix your item. To reach as many people as possible, there is a max of 2 items per person.

Hand-Dipped Beeswax Candles
This is a great class to bring a friend to! Come learn how to make dipped beeswax candles! We will go over the basics of how to handle and care for beeswax, prepare wick for dipping, and the general techniques on how to build up the body of the candle.

Tuesday 6/23
Natural Dyeing
Learn to naturally dye a silk pillowcase and a cotton drawstring bag using 2 methods of natural dyeing: bundle dying + dip dyeing! Using a variety of dried flowers, roots, bark, and even bugs, students will print natural materials onto silk by rolling, tying, and steaming bundles of their own design.
