This morning, we welcomed the Educator Support Collaborative and friends from across our industry to our Baltimore showroom for a conversation about what we can accomplish when our community comes together for Baltimore’s educators.

Each year, MOI is proud to donate our time, services, expertise, and furniture to help transform a Baltimore City Public School teachers’ lounge into a space where educators can recharge, connect, and feel appreciated.

But the impact can be so much bigger when we do it together.

Today’s breakfast was about sharing the story, building awareness, and inviting contractors, manufacturers, designers, partners, and organizations throughout our community to join the effort.

Because when everyone brings what they can—time, talent, resources, products, or connections—we can create something pretty special for the people who give so much to Baltimore’s students every day.

She gave her students a fresh start. So we gave her a fresh setup.

For back-to-school season, we asked our employee owners to nominate a student or educator who deserved a workspace upgrade—and Adam Greider introduced us to a pretty special kindergarten teacher.

Just days before school started, Mrs. McGinty volunteered to switch from third grade to kindergarten when her school needed another teacher, helping reduce class sizes from 24+ students to just 15.

She had only a few days to turn her new classroom into a welcoming place for her students—and she did exactly that. So when Adam noticed that the teacher's own furniture had seen better days, he nominated her for a little something in return.

We were thrilled to surprise Mrs. McGinty with a Herman Miller OE1 Sit-to-Stand Table and Muuto Fiber Chair for a fresh workspace of her own.

Because the people who spend their days creating great spaces for kids deserve a great space, too.

Employee ownership—on and off the field. ⚾🐿️

Our Richmond team recently traded the office for the ballpark, bringing their families together for a night with the Richmond Flying Squirrels at CarMax Park.

And this team outing came with a pretty great MOI connection: we were the furniture partner for the stadium’s suites, lounge, and outdoor spaces!

There’s something extra special about enjoying a place our own team helped bring to life. The spaces we create become part of the communities where we live, work, gather—and sometimes, cheer on the home team.

As employee owners, it’s pretty cool to look around and say, “We helped make this happen.”

Great people, a great night, and a little extra hometown pride. We’ll call that a win.

What does the modern law firm look like? For Gallagher LLP, it looks bright, welcoming, connected—and completely different from where they started.

As a long-time MOI client, Gallagher trusted our team to help bring a bold new vision for their Baltimore workplace to life alongside Gensler. The 21,000-square-foot space represents a true transformation from the traditional law firm environment, with beautiful private offices and conference rooms balanced by wellness spaces, open areas for connection, and a hospitality-inspired café designed to bring people together.

And the details make it even more meaningful. The café features custom murals by two local Baltimore artists, including imagery honoring the historic Reed Street sit-in—a reflection of Gallagher's deep connection to Baltimore and longstanding involvement in civil rights.

We're proud to have helped create a workplace that feels distinctly Gallagher: sophisticated and professional, but also warm, vibrant, and rooted in the community they call home.

We’re thrilled to celebrate Farlee Wade-Faber, MillerKnoll Designer of the Year!

If you know Farlee, you know this recognition represents so much more than exceptional design talent. Farlee brings care, compassion, positive energy, mentorship, and an unwavering can-do attitude to everything she does.

She’s an incredible Herman Miller Champion and an even bigger champion of the people around her — always willing to share her knowledge, offer guidance, find a solution, and help others succeed. She has a remarkable ability to listen closely to our clients, understand what they truly need, and translate that understanding into thoughtful solutions that create real value.

And within MOI, Farlee makes her impact by creating something just as important: a community of belonging where people feel supported, valued, and connected.

Farlee, we couldn’t be more proud to have you on our team. Congratulations on this incredible and very well-deserved recognition!

Recently, 11 members of our Richmond team completed Adult CPR/AED training and are now officially certified through the American Red Cross.

That means more trained individuals ready to respond in an emergency—not only within our own workplace, but wherever our work takes us, including client sites and projects throughout the community.

It’s one more way we’re investing in our people while helping create safer spaces for everyone around us.
