Drift is the first collection of poems by Young, a genderqueer writer, Maryland native, and nature stan. Young has been published in several journals, including Anatolios Magazine, Breakwater Review, and Entropy Magazine’s BLACKCACKLE. She enjoys Edgar Allan Poe jokes, haphazard suburban birding, and being obnoxious about the benefits of stovetop popcorn. In Drift, Young explores loneliness and desire, history and trash, love and ambivalence.

Yellow Arrow Publishing is excited to introduce our final 2026 Yellow Arrow author, Matilda Young (she/they), and the cover of their soon-to-be-released chapbook, Drift.
