Not me posting in real time. 😂
But that’s what happens when you’re this excited about Day 1 of the Google Innovator Academy.
I’m walking into this experience with a notebook full of questions, an open mind, and a whole lot of excitement to learn alongside some incredible educators from around the world.
Can’t wait to bring these ideas back to the schools and leaders I serve.

Everything I wore while at the Disney/ National Assoc. for Elementary School Principals Conference!
No matter where I am, I’m always going to throw a fit!
Often imitated. Never duplicated. 🤏🏽
Back in 2020, there weren’t many school principals creating content on TikTok. I hit “post” anyway.
Some people laughed. Some questioned it. Some talked about it.
I kept creating… voice overs, days in the life, OOTDs, Leadership Advice, AI… all from the Principal’s perspective.
What started as a few videos became opportunities to speak, connect with educators around the world, build a brand, and remind people that principals are human too.
Every now and then, someone says, “Everybody’s doing it now.”
Maybe. But somebody had to go first.

In less than a week, I’ll be heading to Atlanta for the Google Innovator Academy, and y’all… I’m GEEKING OUT. 🤓
I’m in Group 3: The Design Hive 🐝 and I seriously can’t wait to learn, create, collaborate, and connect with so many incredible innovators from around the world.
Opportunities like this remind me that growth doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when you stay curious, keep showing up, and say yes to rooms that stretch you.
Atlanta… I’m ready.

Day 2 at the Conference.
More sessions. More ideas. More reminders that great school leaders never stop learning.
Then we traded the conference rooms for EPCOT and spent the evening making memories with my PrinciPALs.
One of my favorite parts of conferences isn’t just what happens during the sessions. It’s the conversations afterward. That’s where ideas get challenged, stories get shared, and real connections are built.
Learning together is important.
Laughing together matters too.
