We're excited to introduce our new surgeon Lawrence Eden, DVM!

Dr. Lawrence Eden grew up in South Africa and the UK and graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2008. He spent five years practicing veterinary medicine in Botswana before moving to the United States and settling in Baltimore in 2016.

Dr. Eden has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and dentistry, particularly enjoying the precision and problem-solving involved in challenging surgical cases. He takes a practical, compassionate approach to veterinary care and values helping pet owners understand their pets’ treatment options.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Eden enjoys hiking, camping, and cycling with his wife and their two dogs, Jasper and Opal.

Microchips can reunite families, BUT ONLY IF you make sure you have your information up to date. It’s important to update your address and/or phone number if you need to change it in case of an emergency!

After many, many wonderful years serving the animals and families of Fells Point, the time has come for us to hang up our stethoscope and begin a new chapter in our lives—retirement!

It has been the honor of a lifetime to care for your beloved pets, celebrate their recoveries, support you through difficult moments, and watch so many of them grow from playful puppies and kittens into cherished lifelong companions. The trust you placed in us and the relationships we built together are what made this career so deeply meaningful to both of us.

Baltimore has been more than just the place where we worked—it has been our community, our extended family, and the heart of our professional journey. We are incredibly grateful for the loyalty, kindness, and support you have shown us over the past years.

While we will miss the daily interactions, wagging tails, gentle purrs, and familiar faces, we leave with a full heart and countless memories. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives and for giving us the privilege of caring for those who cannot speak for themselves.
While we will miss you all dearly, we leave you in good hands! Dr. Coughlin, Dr Vaughan and the entire DocSide team will continue to provide the same compassionate, high-quality care for which DocSide has always been known.
