You’ve spent years working for a paycheck. What will replace it when you retire?
The groceries, the electric bill, the things you enjoy—those expenses will still be there.
When you picture retirement, it’s easy to think about finally having more time. But there’s another question worth asking: “Where will my money come from each month?”
If you haven’t worked that out yet, that’s a good place to start. Swipe through for a few questions to help you get the conversation going.
What’s one expense you think people underestimate in retirement? Let me know below.

A 0% floor sounds good. But what does it actually protect?
You’ve worked too hard for your retirement savings to leave that question unanswered.
With a fixed indexed annuity, that floor helps protect against negative index returns. Fees and early withdrawal charges can still reduce your account value, and limits may apply to the interest you earn.
Before you commit, make sure you understand how your money can grow, what it costs, and when you can access it.

Building generational wealth starts with having a plan.
The amount you start with doesn’t have to be huge. What matters most is starting with what you can afford and staying consistent. Here are a few options parents can consider for their kids:
529 Plan: A way to save for future education expenses.
Roth IRA: A way to build long-term retirement savings with potential tax-free qualified withdrawals. If your child has legitimate earned income, including qualifying work for a family business, they may be eligible.
IUL: Another option some families use to build cash value for future opportunities, such as starting a business or investing in real estate. Depending on the policy, funds may be accessed before age 59½.
Want me to break down 529s, Roth IRAs, or IULs in the next post? Comment the one you want to learn more about.

$1M can be a powerful financial milestone 🙌
The example in this video is based on a 9% average annual return. Actual investment returns can vary, but the bigger point is simple: starting early and staying consistent can make a huge difference over time.
Building financial freedom doesn’t have to be complicated. Start with a plan, stay disciplined, and keep moving forward.

A $2,000 monthly Social Security benefit at 67 could be around $1,400 if you start claiming at 62.
Claiming earlier means you start receiving money sooner, but your monthly benefit is permanently lower.
Here’s how the example compares over time:
By age 67:
Person A: $84K collected
Person B: $0
By age 72:
Person A: $168K
Person B: $120K
By age 77:
Person A: $252K
Person B: $240K
By age 82:
Person A: $336K
Person B: $360K
The key point: claiming early gives you a head start, but waiting can eventually catch up and pay more over time. Your health, work situation, family needs, and retirement goals can all affect which choice makes more sense for you.
What would you choose — claim at 62 or wait until 67? COMMENT below.
