📚✈️ Helix Aviation Academy’s Literacy Night was a SUCCESS!

What a wonderful evening of families, literacy, learning, and community! We were excited to welcome so many of our parents and students for an evening focused on helping our young readers continue to grow.

Families had an opportunity to:

📚 Sign up for library cards
🏡 Connect with resources and information about homeownership
👩🏽‍🏫 Meet and connect with their children’s teachers
📖 Learn ways to prepare students for DIBELS and strengthen literacy achievement
🏠 Take home literacy activities to continue learning beyond the classroom

And one of the best parts was simply seeing our students excited to spend time with their teachers and families while having fun with reading!

A special THANK YOU to The Center for Literacy & Learning for coming out and helping connect our families with resources that support stronger readers.

At Helix Aviation Academy, literacy is not just something that happens during the school day. It is a partnership between our school, our families, and our community.

Tonight was a beautiful example of that partnership in action. 💙📚✈️

Shoutout to Head Coach Marquise Stove and Assistant Coach Thomas Hillard for leading our Helix Aviation Academy 3rd–5th Grade Flag Football Team on the field today!

At Helix, athletics is about more than the scoreboard. We’re starting early—teaching our young athletes discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and what it means to represent their school with pride.

These are our future middle and high school athletes, and the foundation is being built right now. 💪🏾🏈

Start them young. Develop them early. Build the program from the ground up.
