Hi, I’m Jae! I’m a lash artist & I do my own lashes! When I was coming up as an artist, lash extensions was still becoming a new thing. You had a group of girls who knew everything about lashes, a group of women who were interested but were fighting to understand & be the best and we’re getting frustrated because no one wanted to share or education was ridiculously expensive, & a group of women who were so opposed to lash extensions because the lack of education and not many people were doing them properly.
I had just finished school & knew I wanted to be a lash artist but I had no idea of my potential. I was discouraged a lot and I even gave up. But I loved the way lashes made me feel & I wanted to be one of the best. I took it upon myself to lash myself. I stayed up late nights and obsessed in trying to find whatever information I could. I was going to be the best! Even if it meant burning the hell out of my own eyes. & no matter how mean & stuck up other artists could be (yea I said it! Some of y’all are B*) I wasn’t gonna stop!
It’s 2020, here I am, booked & busy and slaying TF outta my OWN lashes! 🤪 For all my new and future lash artists, never give up. Don’t stop believing in yourself and don’t let someone else’s work make you feel you can’t be your own artist! There’s a lot of room in this industry because no one can take on a thousand clients! & there is the right client for you!
