Central Intermediate School

A little extra sunshine for our Top Cats today!

These students have worked hard to earn Mastery or Advanced on all LEAP subject areas, and this afternoon was all about celebrating their accomplishments!

Dancing, music, sunshine, popsicles, and showing off their new Top Cat shirts made for an afternoon full of fun and smiles!

We are so proud of these students and the hard work, dedication, and perseverance it takes to be a Top Cat!

🎟️✨ OUR FIRST BUS TEACHER TAKEOVER WAS GOLDEN! ✨🎟️

Ms. Mier, Ms. Kuhlman, and Ms. Gorzell kicked off our first Bus Teacher Takeover with a little golden-ticket magic! 💛🚌

Every bus rider received a GOLDEN TICKET as they arrived at school. Throughout the day, golden ticket numbers were announced—and if your number was called, you won a candy box! 🍭🍫🍬

Our students were SO excited to get their tickets and couldn’t wait to hear if their lucky number would be called! The anticipation made the day even more fun!

A huge thank you to Ms. Mier, Ms. Kuhlman, and Ms. Gorzell for bringing the excitement and making our bus riders feel extra special!

🚌🎟️ Who knows what our teachers will come up with for the next takeover?!

October is almost here! Take a peek at what’s ahead at CIS!

Congratulations to Coach Pourciau, our Teacher of the Year, and Ms. CJ, our Support Worker of the Year!

Coach Pourciau truly lives out the CKH way, building genuine connections and showing our students what it means to lead with kindness, respect, and heart. As a PE Coach, she creates an environment where every student belongs, is encouraged, and has the opportunity to experience success and growth. She is the ultimate example of a teacher who captures hearts first, making sure our students leave PE feeling confident, inspired, and ready to do their best.

Ms. CJ brings unmatched energy, heart, and positivity every single day! From pumping up our students and staff each morning with music to co-teaching and stepping in wherever she is needed, she works tirelessly to make our school a place where students feel valued, safe, and supported. Her joy is contagious, and the impact she makes on our students and staff is felt throughout our entire school.

We are so proud to celebrate these two incredible members of our CIS family! They lead, learn, and grow alongside our students every day, and we are so lucky to have them.

Congratulations, Coach Pourciau and Ms. CJ! We are so grateful for you!

Transportation Reminder

Student safety is our number one priority while students are at school. For this reason, any change to a student’s transportation must be communicated through a handwritten note.

We cannot accept transportation changes by phone call, ClassDojo, or email.

This includes students who are staying after school for a club or activity. If your child is staying for Ambassadors, Library Leaders, Honor Choir, Soccer, Beta, or another after-school activity, a handwritten note must be sent to school giving permission for your child to stay.

Need to make a transportation change during the school day? A parent/guardian must come to the school with a photo ID and complete a handwritten note.

This process helps us ensure that every student is dismissed to the correct location. Thank you for helping us keep our students safety a top priority.

Mrs. Parrino, Mrs. Seidel, and Mrs. Rittell kicked off our first Teacher Takeover of the school year, and an amazing time was had by all! They brought the fun and excitement with games, music, and plenty of school spirit.
We’re excited for even more carpool AND bus takeovers throughout the year. Buckle up for some fun because our next takeover is happening THIS Tuesday! 🎉
