Unitech Training Academy - Baton Rouge

Last week, we swapped classrooms to shake things up a bit, but sometimes you just have to get out of the classroom and off campus!

Our Baton Rouge students headed to Walmart for a scavenger hunt that put teamwork, communication, and problem-solving to the test, with a little friendly competition between programs thrown in for good measure. 🏆

A big thank you to the Walmart Neighborhood Market Baton Rouge - 11550 Coursey Blvd for letting us take over the aisles for a little while! 💚

Our Pharmacy Technician students are getting hands-on experience in the lab while preparing for careers in hospitals, retail pharmacies, compounding facilities, and everywhere in between.

Our campus is closed today in observance of Juneteenth. We join our Unitech campuses and communities across the country in honoring this important milestone in our nation's history.

Today, Unitech Training Academy campuses and offices are closed in observance of Juneteenth.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. It is a day to reflect on the ongoing pursuit of freedom, equality, and opportunity in our nation.

At Unitech, we believe education creates opportunity. Every day, we are honored to help students develop new skills, pursue meaningful careers, and build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.

While there is still work to be done, Juneteenth reminds us how far we've come and challenges us to continue building communities where opportunity is within reach for everyone.

We welcome back students and staff on Monday, June 22nd.

🍩🔍 Donut underestimate our Baton Rouge students! We had a Donut Day Scavenger Hunt, where students searched for hidden clues around campus to unlock access to a well-earned donut & coffee party!

From classrooms to common areas, students put their detective skills to the test before gathering together to enjoy sweet treats, great conversation, and a little break from their busy schedules.

Our campus experience builds connections, celebrates achievements, and brings a little fun to the journey along the way!
