Today, Tiger TV broadcasts on tigertv.tv reaching the Baton Rouge community and the globe. Tiger TV offers students the experience to work as a camera operators, reporters, producers, programmers, on-air personalities and even managing positions. Tiger TV operates out of the basement and first floor of Hodges Hall, where the office, master control room and newsroom are located. Tiger TV airs using a state-of-the-art facility and offers more than eight hours of daily programming. Tiger TV produces a newscast, a sports show and entertainment minutes. Contrary to popular belief, Tiger TV is not limited to mass communication majors who have previous television experience. In fact, Tiger TV accepts applications from all LSU students who meet university requirements. Tiger TV offers hands-on experience to students interested in perusing a career in television, and many former Tiger TV employees now work in the television industry across the country.

LSU fraternities Delta Kappa Epsilon and Phi Gamma Delta have been placed on interim suspension following investigations into alleged hazing and other violations of the LSU Code of Student Conduct.

Bob Pettit, LSU basketball star and a hall of famer in the NBA, has died at 93.
Family members confirmed Pettit died peacefully and comfortably, yesterday, September 23rd, in his home Metairie.

LSU Men’s Basketball Coach Will Wade spoke to the media Wednesday for the first time ahead of the 2026-2027 season.
Amid concerns about LSU currently only having four players listed on the public roster, Coach Wade reassured media that the team does have a full roster.
LSU Men’s Basketball is set to have its first exhibition game Thursday, October 8th at McNeese, Wade’s former school.

Two University of Mississippi students have died, and local and state officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
Authorities said packaged kratom was found during the investigation and urged the public to avoid speculation. The causes of death have not been confirmed.
