Happy Juneteenth! β€οΈπ€π
Today, we commemorate June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned of their freedomβmore than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, resilience, culture, and the ongoing pursuit of equality and opportunity for all.
As we honor the sacrifices and achievements of those who came before us, let us continue to strengthen our communities, embrace diversity, and work together to build a future rooted in justice, understanding, and unity.
May this day inspire reflection, celebration, and hope.
