Today, The Christian Outreach Center was honored to be part of Second Chance Tuesday with the Capital Area Prisoner Reentry Initiative! 🙌

We’re grateful for opportunities to come alongside individuals who are working toward a fresh start and a brighter future. At the Christian Outreach Center, we believe that a person’s past does not have to define their future.

Through relationships, resources, job readiness, and practical support, we’re committed to helping people move toward stability, self-sufficiency, and lasting change.

Everyone deserves a second chance—and we’re thankful to be part of a community that believes in second chances and new beginnings. 💙

Today, we’re proud to announce that we are founding partners of the Technology Freedom Cooperative.

The Technology Freedom Cooperative brings together the Human Rights Data Analysis Group (HRDAG), Invisible Institute, Innocence & Justice Louisiana, Data Cívica, and Kilómetro Cero. With support from the MacArthur Foundation, the cooperative will provide data backup systems and AI infrastructure for organizations working to document human rights violations, state violence, wrongful convictions, and other abuses of power.

In its first stage, cooperative partners are hosting local servers with secure backups of each other's data to protect our access to it, and building large language models using cooperative-owned hardware and data, keeping our information safe from Big Tech.
