Part 1 was about recognizing the patterns. Part 2 is about repairing them. 🦊
Numbers 7 and 8 hit home for me, because who doesn’t occasionally get sucked into the comparison game?

I’m also learning to practice generosity from a place of love, not from a need for approval or fear of disappointing someone.

A healthier relationship with money takes self-awareness, boundaries and practice, practice…and more practice .

Which of these are you working on right now?

Save this for the next time an old money pattern tries to take the wheel.

My therapist gave me a book about how difficult it is to become spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature.

And naturally, my brain connected it to money.

You can have the credentials, take the classes, understand the math, and even work in finance for years, but still have an emotionally unhealthy relationship with money.

Because money is rarely just money. It can become identity, security, control, avoidance, or validation.

Honestly, I think most of us can recognize ourselves in at least one of these patterns. I know I can.

This is Part 1: recognizing what may be happening beneath the numbers.

Part 2 will be about how we begin building a healthier relationship with money. 🦊

Which one made you stop and think?

If I wanted to save more money TODAY… these are 4 things I’d cut first. 💸

And before the nail girlies come for me…I KNOW. 😂💅

This isn’t about never spending money on things you enjoy. It’s about recognizing how quickly convenience and recurring expenses become things we think we have to pay for.

If I needed to create more room in my budget to save or invest, these would be some of the first places I’d look.

Now tell me: what thing are you absolutely NOT giving up? 👀 even if it puts you on the streets 😂

This is what I mean when I say I want women to build wealth. 👋💰

Not so you can look rich.
Not so you can impress strangers.

So you can build enough savings and investments that a paycheck isn’t the reason you have to stay somewhere you’re miserable.

A bad job. A bad relationship. A bad situation.

Sometimes the biggest flex money can buy is the ability to say, “Bye.” 😂

Wealth isn’t optics. Wealth is options. 🦊

Ladies, we need to talk about risk. 👀📈

If you’re aiming for meaningful long-term growth, maybe even hoping for double-digit returns over time, you have to understand something:

You’re not going to get the upside without enduring some downside.

There will be down years. Corrections. Bear markets. Scary headlines. Periods where you wonder why the heck you’re doing this at all.

And this is where I see so many women get stuck.

We can be so afraid of volatility that we pile money into savings accounts because watching that balance stay steady feels safe.

But “safe” has a cost, too. Inflation, taxes and lost purchasing power don’t care that your account balance never went down.

Historically, the stock market has been an incredible long-term wealth-building tool. But those results came with crashes, recessions, bear markets and plenty of ugly years along the way.

You don’t get to choose only the fun markets.

If you want to participate in the long-term growth, you have to be prepared to ride through different types of markets.

That doesn’t mean being reckless. It means building your safety net first, taking calculated risk, having a strategy and developing enough financial resilience that every market drop doesn’t scare you back into cash.

Because future you needs more than money that feels safe.

She needs money that has the opportunity to grow. 🦊📈

Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Sorry, not sorry for this vent. 😂 Between being fired up about this topic and my allergy-medicated brain, collecting my thoughts was a triumph today.

But I mean every word.

Getting the client shouldn’t be the end of the effort. It should be the beginning.

If you felt heard, seen and taken care of during the sales pitch, you should still feel that way after the account opens.

And if you’re trying to roll over an old 401(k), move an account, or figure out what the heck you’re supposed to do next, you shouldn’t be handed a phone number and left to fend for yourself.

Sometimes you just need someone in your corner saying, “Call here. Ask for this. Send me what they give you. We’ll get through it.”

I’m not perfect, but The Fox doesn’t leave you on read. 🦊

I’ve made some expensive mistakes in the name of love.

A marriage. A divorce. A broken engagement. Starting over more than once.

There was a time when starting over in my 30s with debt, a bruised ego, and no idea what came next…felt a lot like failure.

It wasn’t.

I rebuilt my finances. I rebuilt my life. And I learned why having your own financial foundation matters so much.

Starting over can cost you.
Staying can cost you more.

If you’re in the messy middle right now, I see you. I’m glad you’re here. 🤍🦊

I actually started Airbnbing my house years ago because I was in credit card debt and needed to get creative about making extra money. 😅

I was cutting expenses, picking up extra income wherever I could, and renting out my house when I was already going to be gone just… made sense.

Fast forward to now: the credit card debt is long gone, but I still do it. 😂

If we’re traveling anyway, why not let the house make a little money while we’re gone?

And one of my favorite parts: if you rent your home for fewer than 15 days during the year, the rental income generally doesn’t have to be reported as income for federal tax purposes. 💸

So yes, I will clean like a maniac, hide 400 dog toys in a closet and hand over the keys for a few days.

A little extra money for a trip we were already taking? I’ll take it. 🦊✈️🏡
