Susan and I enjoyed visiting Jordan Farms and learning more about their tomato operation in rural Maine. As someone who looks forward to tomato season every year on Strain Farm, it was a pleasure to see another family’s passion for growing this favorite crop.
Thank you to the Jordan Farms family for the warm welcome and hospitality.

I’m humbled to have been recognized for 15+ years of service to NASDA during this year’s Annual Meeting in Portland, Maine.
It has been a privilege to work alongside agriculture leaders from across the country while representing the farmers, ranchers, foresters, and families who make Louisiana so special. I’m grateful for the friendships, partnerships, and opportunities to serve along the way.
Looking forward to another day of important discussions on the future of agriculture and forestry.

September is National Honey Month, and as a fellow beekeeper, I’m proud to celebrate Louisiana’s honeybees and beekeepers. Honeybees play an important role in our agriculture, from pollinating crops to producing the honey we enjoy. I hope you’ll take a moment this month to appreciate the bees, the beekeepers and the sweet Louisiana honey they help bring to our tables. 🍯 🐝

I enjoyed joining Christian and Julie Richard of Richard Farms in Kaplan yesterday for a LSU AgCenter On-Farm Best Management Practices Rice Field Day.
Louisiana farmers are among the best stewards of our land and natural resources, and it was great to see conservation in action on working farms across our state.

Susan and I enjoyed a wonderful evening in Washington Parish at the Republican Parish Executive Committee dinner.
We always appreciate the opportunity to visit with friends and spend time with people who care deeply about Louisiana and its future. Thank you to everyone who made the evening so enjoyable.
