Ross in a press release on the ASU website

On Tuesday June 16, the two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which would allow for the smooth transition of MBC students to ASU for graduate studies. Alabama State offers both in person and 13 online Master’s options.

HBCU Alum History in Politics- 👏🏾Sending Congratulations to Talladega College alum, Isaiah Hugley, who was recently elected as the first Black Mayor of Columbus, GA.

📍In an article statement on he stated:
“Citizens of Columbus can expect from me to move forward with civility, dignity, respect -with a plan to ignite this city, with a plan to move this city forward”

In an effort to highlight more smaller HBCUs, yesterday we did a fun fact post about University of the Virgin Islands being the ONLY HBCU located outside of the continental United States. -But for those who didn’t know, this school was also the location of Season 4 of BET’s College Hill, which cast real students attending UVI.

HBCU Fun Fact- Did you know the University of the Virgin Islands is the ONLY HBCU located outside the continental United States?

📍Founded in 1962, UVI serves students on campuses in St. Thomas and St. Croix and is known as a University that blends HBCU excellence with Caribbean culture. They offer over 48 degree programs in both undergraduate and graduate studies, including online programs.

Also, Eligible U.S. Virgin Islands residents may qualify to attend UVI through the university’s Free Tuition Scholarship Program.

HBCU Scholar Spotlight- 🏈Morehouse College student athlete and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity member , Miles Scott

Scott is a rising senior Finance major, with a 3.4 GPA. He is interning this summer with F.S. Taylor CPA firm in Maryland , and is a Spring 26- Pi Chapter Initiate of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

He is also the Morehouse College single season passing and touchdown record holder
