St. Established in 1844 and in the same church at Convention and Fourth Street constructed in 1894, we may be in the same location, but St.

James Episcopal Church is a welcoming, downtown congregation with a mission to serve Christ through worship, fellowship, education, pastoral care, and outreach to all. James is a church on the move! It's a place to grow spiritually, a place to make new friends, a place to serve God with your own special talents. For over 150 years, St. James has continued its mission of service to members of the parish and the greater community of our neighborhood, the city and the world.

The St. James Young Adults landed in 3rd place at trivia night! The group also had fun catching up on summer travels, celebrating new jobs, cheering each other on during job interviews, and discovering Dottie's impressive quilting hobby :)

Test your own trivia knowledge with a question that tripped up the group: which animal has more bones β€” a sheep or a goat?

Save the date and join us for brunch on Sunday, August 30 at 12:00 pm!

At St. James, our Foyer Groups are small groups of eight who gather regularly for purely social reasons to enjoy one another’s company, strengthen bonds, and meet new church members. Groups are made up of singles, couples, young people, and retirees; in other words, a cross- section of the congregation. Foyer Group sign-up begins in September.
