Our next “Faces of the Firm” is Robin P. Toups, a Partner at Taylor Porter and member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

With a background in chemical engineering and experience as a process engineer, Robin’s practice focuses on environmental and regulatory law, environmental litigation, and complex compliance matters. She represents clients before state and federal regulatory agencies, including the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, as well as in state and federal courts. Her practice includes advising clients on federal and state environmental permitting and compliance requirements, environmental audits, agency inspections and investigations, enforcement actions, environmental due diligence, and regulatory strategy.

Taylor Porter will join WRKF and the Baton Rouge community for WRKF’s 10th Annual Founders Luncheon on September 25 at the Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge, where the firm is serving as a Table Sponsor.

On September 19, Taylor Porter joined Team Millie and hundreds of participants in downtown Baton Rouge for the St. Jude Walk, coming together in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the families it serves.

Together, the Baton Rouge community raised more than $750,000!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to Team Millie, walked alongside us, and rallied around Millie and her family. During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, this remarkable show of support is a meaningful reminder of the power of community in supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer.

Our next “Faces of the Firm” is Edward D. “Eddie” Hughes, a Partner at Taylor Porter and member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

With a background as an independent petroleum landman, Eddie brings firsthand industry experience to his work in oil and gas litigation, commercial litigation, toxic tort litigation, and insurance defense. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America for Energy Regulatory Law and previously chaired the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank’s Board of Directors.

Outside the office, Eddie enjoys golf, travel, and time with his wife and their two college-aged children. A fun fact: He was the 2014 Fear Factor Live Champion at Walt Disney World.

This Saturday, Taylor Porter is walking with Team Millie in support of our associate Allie Amedee, her daughter, Millie, and their family as Millie continues her fight against high-risk neuroblastoma at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Team Millie is already making an incredible impact. The team currently ranks in the top five for overall fundraising, top two among corporate teams, and has received support from 40 individual donors.

We’re grateful to everyone who has rallied around Millie and her family, and we hope to keep that momentum going.

The St. Jude Walk begins at 8 a.m with the opening ceremony, this Saturday, September 19, in downtown Baton Rouge.

Hannah earned her J.D./D.C.L., cm laude, from LSU Law, where she was a member of the Louisiana Law Review. She is admitted to practice in Louisiana, the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
