2026 BRMHS Magnet Open House
This week, the citizens of Crawfish Bayou welcomed a very special guest to The Dufrocq School: Mayor-President Sid Edwards
Crawfish Bayou is Dufrocq’s MicroSociety town, where students elect their own mayor, take on leadership roles and work together to operate their community like a real town.
Thank you, Mayor-President Edwards, for spending time with the citizens and future leaders of Crawfish Bayou!

The Olympics came to Villa del Rey Creative Sciences & Arts Magnet School 🏛️🏅
Second graders stepped into Ancient Greece, complete with togas, laurel crowns, and their very own Olympic Games. Through teamwork, creativity, and friendly competition, students brought weeks of classroom learning to life through an unforgettable arts-integrated experience!
Arts Integration brings learning to life in a meaningful way. Check out the students at Park Forest Elementary Creative Sciences & Arts Magnet School as they demonstrate this concept with the help of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge! We love to see it 🎨
