The Brothers of the Lambda Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the Selders family and to our Brothers of the Lambda Kappa Kappa Chapter during this time of profound loss.

Brother Larry Selders meant so much to so many. His passing has left not only our Brotherhood, but the entire city of Baton Rouge, mourning the loss of a remarkable leader, servant, and friend.

To Lambda Alpha, Larry was far more than a Brother he was family. He was a trusted friend, a mentor, and a steadfast supporter whose presence, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to service touched countless lives. He embodied the very principles of Omega Psi Phi: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift.

While words cannot fully express the weight of this loss, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy will continue to inspire generations of Brothers and community leaders. His impact on our Chapter, our city, and our Fraternity will never be forgotten.

Brother Larry, thank you for your friendship, your leadership, and your faithful service. You have fought the good fight, finished your course, and left an enduring legacy that will forever be etched into the hearts of those privileged to know you.

Rest well, Brother. We will take it from here. ΩΨΦ

Happy Father’s Day from your friends at Lambda Alpha!

Today, we celebrate the men who show up as fathers—whether by blood or by title. We honor the dads, grandfathers, mentors, coaches, and father figures who lead with love, sacrifice with purpose, and leave a lasting legacy.

Thank you for strengthening families, uplifting communities, and showing the next generation what manhood truly looks like.

To all the fathers and father figures, we salute you. Enjoy your day—you’ve earned it!

The Brothers of the Lambda Alpha Chapter proudly commemorate Juneteenth, a day that marks freedom, resilience, and the continued pursuit of justice and equality.

As we reflect on our history, we reaffirm our commitment to service, unity, and uplifting our communities. Together, we are stronger.

💜💛 To our family, friends, supporters, and the Baton Rouge community—THANK YOU.

Over the years, you have continuously supported the Lambda Alpha Chapter, and we are truly grateful. Due to ongoing weather concerns and after careful consideration, the committee has decided that it would not be fair to continue changing the date of our 90th Year Family & Friends Cookout. Therefore, the event has been officially canceled.

While we are disappointed, we remain committed to serving our community. The Brothers of Lambda Alpha will still be participating in the Greater Baton Rouge National Pan-Hellenic Council Picnic scheduled for the same day, and we encourage everyone to come out and support.

We also ask for your continued support of our Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser. Every purchase helps us continue our community service efforts, scholarship initiatives, and programs throughout the Baton Rouge area.

Thank you again for your understanding, your encouragement, and your unwavering support of Lambda Alpha. Here’s to 90 years of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift—and many more to come.

If time permits tomorrow please come out and help save a life by donating blood to our annual Charles Drew blood drive between 10am-3pm. We thanks for your support in advance and bring a friend with you. Address is located on the flyer of the event.

Shout out to our own Brother Lance Lamotte!
