Proud to represent Baton Rouge at the Mississippi River Cities & Towns Initiative Organizational Meeting. More than 100 mayors across 10 states are working together to strengthen river communities, support economic growth, improve infrastructure and protect the Mississippi River for future generations.

I’m proud to see entrepreneurs from across East Baton Rouge Parish come together for the second annual Zachary Business Expo.

More than 35 local businesses are here, along with resources to help you start, manage, and grow your own company. This is a great chance to connect and keep more business right here at home.

Thank you to the Zachary Chamber of Commerce for bringing business owners together and creating opportunities for growth. Let’s continue to shop local and invest in the people who are building up our communities.

We have to light the way for our neighbors in need. Now when storms hit, Scotlandville residents will have a place to turn for support during long power outages and natural disasters.

Thank you to both Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Together Baton Rouge for your foresight and continued service. This is what showing up for your community really looks like.

Speaking of showing up, what better way to show up and show out than with a second line led by Southern University’s Human Jukebox marching band?

Every father, grandfather, and guardian should understand how important faithful leadership is to the strength of our families, schools, and communities. It was my pleasure to speak at the St. Alphonsus Dad’s Club back-to-school breakfast this weekend.

The St. Alphonsus community has long been dear to myself and Baton Rouge, and I appreciate their continued commitment to creating spaces where men can learn to lead with purpose. God bless.

Yesterday, I had the chance to stop by Hi Nabor Grocery, where big changes are allowing employees to now become owners.

Thankful to Jim Crisfasi for creating leadership within and continuously pouring into the Baton Rouge community.

This is what makes Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge!

Another Saturday night in Tiger Stadium supporting our LSU Tigers as they took on Louisiana Tech! It was great catching up with Baton Rouge’s own Boosie. The boys definitely set it off! 💜💛🐯

I’ve seen the concerns about the tires, trash, and debris dumped on this property. I understand why residents are frustrated. You deserve a clean neighborhood. To the people dumping here: stop being so damn lazy and dispose of your trash properly. Our neighborhoods are not your dumping grounds.

Here’s where things stand:
- We took this property to Blight Court, and we now have a court order authorizing the cleanup.
- The building has also been introduced for condemnation, with that matter scheduled for consideration on the 30th.

Because this is private property, we have to follow the legal process before carrying out this work. We are moving through that process so we can address the entire site.

To the neighbors who have spoken up: we hear you. We will keep you informed as this project moves toward cleanup.

Today, we remember a day that changed America forever. We honor every life lost and thank the brave men and women who ran toward danger to save countless others. We are one nation, one people, and one America. May God bless the families forever changed by September 11, and may God continue to bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸
