Yesterday, we met with our teens at our annual College Check In Session . The students heard from the following speakers our College Coach, Mrs. Alexis, and Victoria Williams, Former EBR National Merit Scholar and recent Alumni of Columbia University.

We focused on the timeline for seniors and learned about our next College Tour !

Thanks to our volunteers from Southern University that also provided practical advice and served the dinner .

We honored our departing board member, Dasiny Davis, for her two years of board service and many years of volunteering with our organization .

Great meeting last Friday with Principal McIntosh of Plaquemine High School. We are looking forward to bringing the mission and opportunities of imagination Leads to Iberville . He is full of energy and support !

This month, we acknowledge the service of Board Member Quintillis Lawrence . He has actively served since 2019 with our organization; and truly believes in the mission. Though his tenure has been completed, we wish him success in his career and life .

Our students stepped into history and toured Tuskegee University. Having a current student as a tour guide allowed participants to see practicality of the college experience.

They met with Ms. Tiller and experienced an aviation simulation, connecting directly to the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen. For many of these students, this was their first time imagining themselves in a cockpit or a lab coat. That is the power of exposure.
