The old Beeman gives his thoughts on feeding bees and a small biology lesson about the lifespan of bees.
Feeding bees on this beautiful Monday. These are kinda light as far as honey stores go, so I’m giving them some feed to give them a boost before the golden rod flow. I’ve seen a lot of golden rod so I’m hoping it produces some nectar starting in October.
Trying to save a small swarm I caught 3 weeks ago. It’s not looking good.
The ole beeman repurposing medium honey supers and using them as delivery crates. There’s always work to be done, but it’s not always in the bee yard.
The ole beeman took a break, but he’s back in town and bees are on his mind.

We love the scenery, but we go to fish so here are a few of the fish we caught. It was tough fishing most days, as the wind was crazy, but as usual we were able to set some hooks every day.

The ole beeman took a break from the bees and headed up north to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota.
There’s a time and a place for everything and everyone. The ole beeman is slowing his pace as he adjust to to the backside of the beekeeping season.
