Two of our EBRSO deputies recently stopped to assist a motorist whose vehicle had stalled in traffic. Working together, they helped move the vehicle safely out of the roadway and out of harm’s way.

It may seem like a small gesture, but moments like these are part of what serving our community is all about.

A Quick Reminder: Lock It Before You Leave It!

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is reminding everyone to take a few extra seconds to lock your vehicle doors and remove or secure valuables.

EBRSO investigated a vehicle burglary in the 10000 block of N. Rieger Road. The victim reported that an unknown person entered his vehicle through an unlocked door and stole a wallet and firearm.

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation experienced unimaginable loss, but we also witnessed extraordinary courage, sacrifice and unity.
We remember the lives taken on September 11, 2001, and we honor the first responders who ran toward danger when others were running to safety. We also remember the many who have carried the physical and emotional effects of that day in the years since.

May we never forget those we lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the way our country came together in the days that followed.

God bless our first responders, our military and the United States of America.

Honoring 35 Years of Service 💙

After 35 years of dedicated service to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of our community, we congratulate Major Ricky Klug on his retirement.

For more than three decades, Major Klug has devoted his career to serving and protecting East Baton Rouge Parish. Throughout the years, he has served with professionalism, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the people of our parish and to the men and women who have had the privilege of serving alongside him.

A career spanning 35 years is more than a milestone it represents countless days and nights of service, sacrifices made by both Major Klug and his family, lives impacted, friendships built, and a legacy that will remain a part of EBRSO long after his final day in uniform.

Major Klug, thank you for giving 35 years of your life to this agency and this community. Your leadership, dedication, and years of faithful service are deeply appreciated, and you have certainly earned this next chapter.
