At Lowvision, Etc., we are FOCUSED on the needs of people with low vision. We are FOCUSED on quality product selection and FOCUSED on superior customer service. is a low vision aid company that meets the needs of low vision clients by providing quality low vision devices for daily living and personal instruction in how to use these products. Our goal is to help people with low vision stay independent and able to complete their own daily tasks. These daily living skills include: Reading, Writing, Traveling Independently, Cooking, Recreational activities, Large print playing cards, dominoes & bingo, Sewing and Computer work. Training programs are available to Occupational Therapists and other professionals. These programs are aimed at assisting the professional to correctly choose the proper device and incorporate appropriate services to their low vision clients. The official definition of low vision is: vision that cannot be fully restored or corrected with regular glasses, contact lenses, pharmaceuticals or surgery. However, the real frustration
is the way low vision impairs a persons ability to complete daily living tasks and enjoy simple pleasures most of us take for granted. Nearly 10% of all Americans have some form of low vision. According to the National Eye Institute, low vision currently effects 3.3 million Americans over age 40. There will be 5.5 million people with low vision by the year 2020.
