Turin Psychological Services
I am a 1985 graduate of LSU with a PhD in Clinical Psychology, I have worked in a private practice in Baton Rouge since that time.
Early in my practice I specialized in treating sexual trauma. For many years, I also worked in a forensic hospital evaluating and treating mentally ill offenders, and offering expert testimony in death penalty cases. More recently, I’ve been specializing in adult child estrangement. Throughout my entire career I have enjoyed working with clients with gay and le***an issues, all types of women's issues, depression and adjustment struggles. Post traumatic stress issues resulting from any type of trauma or disaster are a specialty area of mine. I have worked with First Responders in Stress-debriefings, and participated in the Katrina-Rita disaster recovery effort.

PARENT ALIENATION DENIERS ARE ENABLING POST-SEPARATION ABUSE when they refuse to recognize how children can be used as weapons after a relationship ends.
Yes, real abuse allegations must always be taken seriously. But denying parent alienation entirely allows abusive parents to hide behind the child, the court system, false narratives, blocked contact, and loyalty conflicts to continue controlling and harming the victim parent.
Parent alienation is not simply “high conflict.” It can be a measurable pattern of interference, manipulation, and emotional abuse through the child.
Denial is not neutral. Children deserve protection. Victim parents deserve justice. Post-separation abuse must be recognized, investigated, and stopped.

Your voice is your superpower. please share.
When parents separate, the ultimate goal should always be protecting the well-being of the children. However, a devastating reality for many families is parent alienation—a form of post-separation behavior where a child is weaponized, programmed, or manipulated to turn against a loving parent.
Denying that this behavior exists doesn't make it go away; instead, it silences the children trapped in the middle and enables continued psychological harm. True healing begins with recognition. We must commit to:
Seeing it: Educating ourselves on the warning signs.
Hearing them: Listening to and validating the child's true voice.
Acting: Intervening safely to protect the family bond.
Healing: Breaking the cycle and supporting safe, healthy relationships with both parents.
Our children deserve truth, protection, and the right to love both of their parents safely.
What are your thoughts on how communities can better support families going through this? Let's start a conversation below.

The narcissist writes the story…
Publishing a book is the hard part. Writing it is faster, easier and more satisfying.
So sorry for all the delays. It makes no sense to me that the Ebook and hardcover both passed and are published but the paperback won’t go through.
I’ll keep trying and will let you know when it finally is available.
