Dancing Dreams

Today on international dream day, program assistant, Veronica Siaba shared that after being a dancer from the ages of 4 to 17 it is a privilege to continue her journey in Dancing Dreams. Since 2022 after graduating St. John’s University, she has helped promote Dancing Dreams speak about its impact and ultimately spread the message and the importance of acceptance, advocacy and inclusion of the disability community!

Today, on International Dream Day, Parent Education/ Alumni and Adult Volunteer Coordinator Kathleen Downes shared that after beginning as a dancer in 2008, she feels honored to give back.

Now a social worker, she has created resource workshops for DD families since 2018 and in 2026 began assisting with the coordination of adult volunteers.

She wants others to know that high quality recreational opportunities for youth with disabilities make dreams come true.

Spaces like Dancing Dreams where disabled youth can be themselves make confident and happy adults.

Today and every day, she loves to see disabled children and adults defining and going for their own dreams.

Dancing Dreams wishes all who observe a meaningful Yom Kippur.
