Proverbs 14:15�“The simple believe anything, but the prudent give thought to their steps.”
God calls us to careful steps rather than quick acceptance. When a story, picture, or claim feels urgent, the prudent person pauses. We measure it against Scripture and ask the Spirit for clarity. That pause protects our hearts and our witness.
Father, train me to give thoughtful attention to what I accept as true.

James 4:8�“Come near to God and he will come near to you.”
God offers a simple and personal invitation. He does not demand perfect words or a long track record. He simply asks us to draw near & here’s the best part, God has already made the first move. He invites us to draw near.
What is one small way you could draw near to God this week?

Jesus, help me take one honest step closer to You today.

Proverbs 28:9�“If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.”

Here is a hard truth: prayer does not work like a spiritual vending machine. If we ignore God’s voice during the good times, should we be surprised when our prayers seem empty during the tough times? Real prayer grows from a life willing to listen as well as speak.

Lord, show me where I have turned a deaf ear to You, and give me a soft heart again.

Proverbs 15:29�“The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.”

God does not stand distant or distracted. He leans in when His children pray. In a noisy world full of competing voices, this simple truth brings comfort. You do not need to impress Him or get every word right. He already knows you, and He still listens.

Father, thank You that You hear me today. Help me trust that You stay near.🙏

James 1:5�“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

We live in a world that offers quick answers for everything. Yet the deepest needs of our hearts still require the quiet work of the Holy Spirit. He knows what we cannot even put into words. When we pray, we talk with our Father who already understands us.

Lord, teach me to bring my real needs to You instead of settling for easy answers.
