Session 1 was the beginning, not the end of the conversation.

If you weren’t able to join us, our latest blog will help you get up to speed on the co-development of Eastside Pathways’ 2027–2030 Strategic Plan and the ideas that emerged from our first conversations.

Then, on October 27, we keep building.

We’ll continue exploring where our priorities, interests, relationships, resources and capacity converge, because the strongest collective goals aren’t just SMART.

They’re goals we are genuinely positioned to move together.

📖 Read the recap.
💭 Reflect on where your organization fits.
🤝 Join us October 27 ready to continue the conversation.

We’re looking forward to planning the next chapter with you.

Missed our first strategic planning session? You’re not behind.

We’re co-developing Eastside Pathways’ 2027–2030 Strategic Plan, and we want our partners and community to be able to stay connected to the conversation, even if you couldn’t join us for every session.

Our latest blog recaps where we started, including:

✨ What we learned looking back at our 2024–2026 work
✨ Why role clarity between the backbone and Partnership matters
✨ What 15 years has taught us about the long game of systems change
✨ The complex issues partners are seeing today
✨ Where we’re headed as we look for the intersection of community priorities, partner interest and collective capacity

Read the blog to get up to speed, then come ready to continue building with us on October 27.

We’re looking forward to moving from reflection toward convergence and asking: Where are we collectively positioned to make the greatest difference?

Some systems change takes years before you can see the whole story.

At our first strategic planning session, Pizza with a Purpose gave us a powerful example: 13 years, multiple leaders, five superintendents, changing budgets and shifting political environments, yet the work continued.

That's the long game of Collective Impact.

As Eastside Pathways celebrates 15 years and looks toward 2027–2030, we're asking more than, “What are our SMART goals?”

We're asking:

Where do community needs and partner capacity converge?
What can we collectively change?
What can we build that can survive leadership transitions?
And what might still be creating impact 10 years from now?

We aren't just planning our next chapter.

We're building for staying power.

Our responsibility is not simply to fund programs, but to create the conditions where every young person can thrive, regardless of their race, income, neighborhood, language, ability, or life circumstance.

When we align around children, coordinate around their needs, and adapt together, we move closer to a future where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

What Do We Want for Our Children?

Before we talk about programs, policies, or investments, let's start with a simple question:

What do we want every child in East King County to experience?

To belong? To feel safe? To be healthy? To graduate prepared for their future? To have trusted adults in their lives? To know their voice matters?

If the answer is yes, then we all have a role in helping create those conditions.

Strategy Is Not Just for Organizations

Strategic planning often sounds like something that happens in conference rooms.

But the best plans are shaped by the people most affected by the outcomes.

The future of East King County's children and youth should not be decided for our community.

It should be shaped with our community.

This is an invitation to help build a future where every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Investing in children and youth matters.

Investing in direct services matters.

And ensuring those services work together matters too.

The highest impact comes when resources, relationships, knowledge, and action reinforce one another.

Because young people don't need disconnected solutions.

They need ecosystems of support.

09/17/2026

When services operate in isolation, families often carry the burden.

They tell the same story over and over.

They navigate multiple systems.

They try to connect resources on their own.

Children and families deserve something better.

They deserve communities where support feels coordinated, accessible, and responsive to their needs.
