Y’all, I am SHOCKED and pi**ed off right now! 😤 I received my check from the Tuna End Purchasers Class Action Settlement, deposited it into my account, and the money showed up as posted. I thought everything was good… until today when I saw that the deposit got RETURNED! A whole $95.49 that I was told I was getting, deposited, and now it’s being taken right back out. How does a settlement check get sent out, deposited, and then bounce? This is crazy!

Searched my email after everyone else posted and saw NOTHING ! Randomly this showed up 🥳

I'm realizing it's smarter to choose PayPal as the payment option instead of direct deposit just in case you have to close your usual account or it gets restricted. These settlements can take a year or more to pay and you never know what can happen with your main account in that time frame. With PayPal, you can always choose where to deposit the funds WHEN the settlement pays out. Just in case you want to utilize a different account for direct deposit by then. I just thought I'd share some knowledge I've gained.
Update: Ok I looked into some info where some of you said PayPal accounts can close. So. I just recommend having a second bank account where you don't have any credit card or loans tied to it where they restrict your account if you can no longer afford to pay them. I honestly feel like it's a risk to whatever option you actually choose. Even if you get checks, you may unexpectedly have to move to another address during the waiting periods for distribution. Mail forwarding isn't 100% guaranteed because sometimes they miss mail pieces.
