Spotlight on Brigadoon Service Dogs, our special guest at Dog Days of Dockside this Saturday! Based right here in Whatcom County, Brigadoon is a nonprofit organization that provides highly-trained service dogs to veterans, children, and adults with physical, developmental, and behavioral health disabilities, helping them live more independent and enriched lives. Founded in 2004, Brigadoon has been changing lives one partnership at a time by "offering a helping paw."

When you visit the market, be sure to stop by their booth to learn more about their incredible work, make a donation to support their programs, and meet some of their adorable future service dogs who are currently in training. Every donation helps support the care, training, and placement of these life-changing dogs.

We’re looking for talented community members who would be interested in donating a dessert for the Dessert Dash at Brigadoon Service Dogs’ 23rd Annual Gala, Paws to Celebrate, on September 18!

The Dessert Dash is always one of the most fun parts of the evening, with guests bidding for the chance to choose their table’s favorite dessert.

Whether you own a bakery, bake professionally, or are simply known for making an incredible cake, pie, or other sweet treat, we’d love to hear from you!

An exciting update on Phoenix! 🐦‍🔥

Phoenix is currently being hosted by our friends at Freedom Service Dogs in Colorado, where she is expecting her second litter of puppies.

Her first litter has been growing into an exceptional group of service dog candidates, and Phoenix has truly proven herself as a wonderful mama with so much to contribute to the future of this work.

We are grateful to partner with Freedom Service Dogs for this special breeding and whelping stay, helping bring the next generation of life-changing service dogs into the world.

Once her puppies are weaned and ready to begin their own journeys, Phoenix will return home to her Brigadoon family.

We’re so proud of Phoenix and can’t wait to share more updates along the way!
