Yesterday, WECU team members joined local financial wellness, education, and credit union volunteers to bring Bite of Reality to Blaine High School.

Part of WECU’s International Credit Union Day events, this hands-on simulation gave students a practical look at budgeting for the real world. 💸

With a job, salary, family, and budget in hand, students navigated everyday expenses, credit decisions, loans, and a few unexpected twists along the way.

They walked away with real-world experience in saving, budgeting, and making informed financial choices.

Yesterday we had a blast at the Info Fair with our WWU Card arcade, tonight was an epic downtown party with First Night Out, and tomorrow night we’ll be cheering at the women’s soccer game (kickoff at 7). Hope to see you there!

Last night we hosted the WECU Board Social which is an annual opportunity for our members to connect with WECU’s Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee and leadership.

The evening featured delicious food (shout out GRAZE AND GATHER) drinks, and a raffle for gift cards from some WECU Member Businesses (shout out District Brewing Community Food Co-op Hardware Sales and Bellingham C***r Co. )all hosted at Stemma Brewing Co. .

We’re excited to wrap up our 2026 Pour It Forward initiative at Trackside! It was so much fun bringing together good times and good impact all summer long, and we’re grateful to everyone who joined us along the way.
We wrapped up the initiative with Noche Mercadito, hosted by Vamos Outdoors Project, and it was such a fun way to bring the summer to a close.
