Alpine Fit

Something fun is kicking off now... and made me think about our own beginnings. Some of you might be curious (or not?! lol)

I started this brand because I dreamed of gear that fit. Fit my body, fit other people's bodies well, and fit my adventures and my real life. Sometimes I need it for a simple morning trail run and I want it to be the same gear I can rely on for a long stretch away from home carrying everything I need on my back (or in my kayak or packraft).

There is something about thru-hikers and ultralight gear heads that just get the whole philosophy behind Alpine Fit. Every ounce matters, every piece has to earn its place, and nothing gets carried just because it looks good. That mindset shaped how we design everything, even the pieces that never see a summit. If it does not perform, it does not make the cut.

So what's happening?

We are so excited to be part of the 8th Birthday Giveaway this year. They embarked on their journey the same year I started working on fabrics and prototypes for Alpine Fit. We are contributing prizes including gift cards for a Fastpacker Fleece, Nordic Anywhere Merino Wool Hat, and Merino Wool Lined Headband, three pieces that live in my own pack on every trip and embody what our brand is built on.

The leaves are turning and there's one piece I keep coming back to every single fall.

The concept for the Rendezvous Ridge Long Sleeve is where this whole brand started, and this season is exactly what it was built for. It layers easily under a jacket on chilly mornings, cuts the wind well enough to wear on its own, it feels soft, and breathes. The silver in the fibers of the fabric keeps it odor-resistant through more adventures than you'd expect between laundry days, and it dries fast so sweaty mornings don't transition freezing in the afternoon.

We've been told by more than a few that this (and the men’s version the Treeline Long sleeve) becomes their no-brainer shirt, the one they reach for no matter what the day looks like. We just restocked missing sizes in our bestselling Winter Moss Green with the signature Chugach Dusk print on the forearms. From Travel Tshirts to Rendezvous Ridge Long Sleeves - we love seeing that Alpine Fit layers are the ones you keep grabbing, so you don't even have to think about what you are wearing!

They keep showing up again and again in your photos! Mid hike, running errands, dog cuddles, and on mountain tops. All wearing our special Sterling fabric, all feeling completely at ease and at home in nature and life. 🫶🏻

These are just a few of the places the Fastpacker Fleece has already been this year and I love seeing it out there.

Trail runs, tent mornings, ski days, beach walks, whatever the adventure is, this fleece keeps showing up in the middle of it. Seeing it in your real life, not a studio shot, is honestly my favorite part of doing this.
