Barb Rocks started out curating well-attended shows and local music festivals, which led to her managing some of San Jose's most successful independent rock bands in the California Bay Area music scene for over 12 years. She then moved to Washington state focusing on a more nature-loving and travel oriented lifestyle, including vanlife, camping, kayaking, paddle boarding, and hiking. Whether it's music, vanlife, traveling, or her cat Maverick's adventures that brought you here, Barb hopes you enjoy her journey through life!

Quick reminder to get outside and feel the sun on your skin! I’ve recently heard that absorbing sunlight is essential for your health and well-being. Obviously we already know that, but I didn’t realize the extent of the benefits of vitamin D in your skin. I’ve never been one to spend lots of time in the sun throughout my life and now I’m making an effort to get outside more and soak in the rays! Photos from golden hour on September 4th. ☀️

After a stormy day of wind and some rain, the sunset sky was just as turbulent last night (9/02) with layers of clouds, some fast moving and some hovering over the bay, leading to a very textured sunset of color and clouds! 🌅

The sunset on my Mom’s birthday on August 26 was a beautiful one! She celebrated her 83rd birthday in heaven by painting the clouds and sky in a lovely sunset for me! 🌅

Eerie yet cool sunset from Friday August 21st! There was some awesome sundog-like rainbow effects around the sun as it set due to the smoke in the air! 🌅

Forgot to post these in my story Thursday, so here they are for your viewing pleasure. I woke up at 6:33am and saw a pink glow in the west so I took these two photos. I don’t face east to see the true sunrise glory, but I love how the west lights up in the pink hues with rays over the islands. 🌄

It was a smoky sunset on Tuesday August 25 with clouds lighting up in cool glowing ways as the sun rays pierced through the haze! 🌅🔥
