Bleedingham is an annual independent horror film festival set in Bellingham, WA. A panel of NON-participating judges reviews the films for selection and awards.
The event features horror films selected from both WA state and Internationally for two nights of terrifying fun! Call for Short Horror Film Submissions
The Bleedingham Film Festival takes place the weekend before Halloween at the Pickford Film Center in Bellingham, Washington. This film festival features mostly short films that showcase the bloodcurdling creativity of filmmakers from around the world. Creature Features is a new series from our beloved Pickford Film Center celebrating the golden age of practical effects! We at Bleedingham are proud to be co presenting this event ! So come on down , see some classics and let’s get scary!

Blood and Guts:
an wonderfully intimate documentary directed by Katie Green, Carlye Rubin, and Tina Grapenthin that explores the lives of the Adams family, an unconventional independent horror filmmaking clan.
First Screening October 3rd with multiple screenings, Q and As with Director and cast members!
Black Zombie
an amazing 2026 documentary film written and directed by Maya Annik Bedward that uncovers the roots of the zombie mythology in Haitian Vodou and the history of colonial slavery
Screening October 9th, with post film discussion featuring Gary Washington and Langley West of Bleedinghaml and special guests! More info is available on the PFC website!

We would like to take a moment to recognize and thank the Pickford Film Center center for being our most gracious sponsor and home since the inception of Bleedingham 15 years ago.
We can’t emphasize enough how important it is for communities to support their local independent film theaters. Spaces like the Pickford open the doors to both independent filmmakers and movie lovers who are interested in a more intriguing range of stories and movie experiences.
The Pickford is a nonprofit organization and relies on memberships and donations to help sustain engaging programming and film related events. Membership comes with perks, so is a great option if you love going to the movies. If you are in Bellingham and looking for something to do, you can also support just by seeing a film at the Pickford!
