I haven't been thrifting in a long while now. Resellers and the prices shops have been bumping things up to have kinda ruined the fun of it in some ways. BUT we got a new goodwill shop that was built next to our local Costco earlier this summer. Sooo I knew I had to pop in and check it out eventually. Yesterday was eventually. I was hopeful it was one of the goodwill outlets, sadly its not but we did find a few cool things.
☆A spiderman and venom print for the spawn. $6
☆A diy brewing book that seems to be a halfblood princes copy, full of notes and highlighter marks. $3
☆A mushroom print in a frame to go on top of my martha mushroom tent. $2
☆AND this GLORIOUS early 90s Andrew Fezza cashmere trench coat! $29.00 💛 It was shoved in with the overalls and fishing waders. The spawn has already told me they will be borrowing it regularly. 😂

🍄 3 grain jars for mushroom cultivation going into the pressure cooker for 120min.I under estimated how much the rye would expand. 🤷‍♀️ Thats okay Im soaking more tonight. I also added one space saver water jar, thats just a jar filled with water. This does two things, one it keeps my jars from rattling around and possibly cracking, and two gives me a jar of preserved water for my shelf.

Guess what couldn't wait to be cut down? Thats right, the pink mist. 🙄 She was gonna go too far and was starting to break branches from the weight of the buds. So last night hubs and I took down the top 1/3 and did a lemon water dunk... like always. Then this AM I took down another 1/3 with a lime water dunk because I couldn't find the lemon crystals. Each time I was heavily medicated, but hey, the doctor said to make sure I'm stretching regularly. Harvesting a 9 foot cannabis plant counts as stretching!

Im gonna leave the 1/3 of pink mist on the plant. Let that part go a little further. Tomorrow I'm gonna have to take down the Cinderella99. Shes small and I can probably take care of her in one go.
Last will be the white widow. She huge and gonna take up the entire shed when its time to dry. 😅

Here soon I'll be in trim jail... that will be good for my back. Im gonna need a good long show I can turn on. Last year I watched every season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer plus the movie while in trim jail. 😜

🍄 I've been binging mushroom cultivation videos while my back is messed up and I can't do all that much. OH and If you didn't know, there should be a rule against someone on painkillers and an excessive amount of gummies, having access to a debit card and etsy. 😅 ... I can say that I have 7 different kinds of mushroom cultures on the way. 😶‍🌫️

I need to make sure I'm atleast a little prepared when they arrive... even though Im still on painkillers and an obscene amount of gummies. So Im taking it slow, today I'm soaking rye wheat berries to set up some mushroom spawn jars and hand shredding some egg cartons for a much later step. FYI This first batch will take months to fruit.

Tomorrow I'll need to cook the grain a little then fill the jars with the grain... about 2/3 the way full and seal with special lids. After they are back down to room temperature 🌡 I can inoculate the grain in the jars with a liquid mushroom culture. I plan on making a few jars of lions mane and some pink oyster first. They should take a few weeks to fully colonize.🤞😁🤞

⛄️ The winter grows have started. Ive got some beets and winter lettuce starts that will go into the driveway beds. Probably also gonna start some kale and chard. I've got 2ed year grex tree collards/kale ×4 still going in the back garden. Not sure what else I should do outside this year. The weather has been so weird I'm not sure if I should try and push anything or not. 🤔 Suggestions? Im 6b so we will occasionally hit -5⁰f.

Indoor this year is gonna be different. Im not using all my tents for grows. Im converting atleast one (maybe 2) of my three small tents into martha grow tents (for mushrooms). I may toss an auto cannabis plant into one of the tents for fun, because why not? 😁 I'm also gonna set up a hydro tower this year most because dont trust the grocery store lettuce and herbs at all and I cant keep up with what we use in soil in winter.

Photo is my seed starting shelf. I also regrow green onions here. I was able to get in and water today, even though my back is still F*ed up and Im gonna have to wait to get my prescription filled until later today. CBG/CBD/THC gummy to the rescue! 🍭

My back was better.... now I'm at urgent care. 🙄🤷‍♀️
