Red Dog Farm

Big delivery today. Turnips, peppers, tomatoes, romaine, potatoes, cucumbers, summer squash.

It never ends on the farm these days. Some huge cabbage, shallots, and just about everything is ready to eat.

Nasturtiums I started from seed seem ready to harvest. Also some new red leaf lettuce is looking good, I’m trialing four different varieties. Looking for which ones grow quickest and have largest leaves. A new tomato F1 variety called “Valencia” are starting to ripen.

Did a test mini-harvest of the garlic, potatoes, and French shallots and I think it’s a go on all three. Question is where can I put everything to cure?

Starting lots of new stuff that will get planted and/or delivered as we clear new beds.

First time growing and selling Napa cabbage today. I had it under insect netting since the jump, and it came out really nice. Will definitely grow more in the high dessert.
