🐟 A new club is making waves.

Please join us in welcoming the Sturgeon RFC to their first-ever Cascade Classic! 🏉

Established in 2026 and based in Monmouth, Oregon, the Sturgeon are a brand-new independent club built on a foundation of current, former, and future WOU Men’s Rugby players, alongside invited players who share the club’s vision.

Their mission is simple: provide a high-level competitive rugby environment, help players reach their potential, and build a club where hard work, respect, and family come first.

The club’s identity was created entirely in-house by Western Oregon Rugby President Jedidiah Kollaer, together with coaches Ben Barlow and Sean Pomeroy, with their namesake inspired by Herman the Sturgeon—the legendary 500-pound resident of the Bonneville Fish Hatchery.

Every club starts somewhere, and we’re proud that the Oregon Sturgeon have chosen the Cascade Classic to be part of the beginning of their story.

📚🏉 COCC Rugby is back!

Please join us in welcoming COCC Rugby to the 2026 Cascade Classic.

Built around the COCC Rugby club, with a handful of invited guest players, this squad returns to Big Sky Park for a valuable preseason runout and another opportunity to showcase the growth of college rugby in Central Oregon.

Expect youthful energy, plenty of enthusiasm, and maybe even a few coaches who still insist they’ve “got one more match in them.” 😉

We’re excited to have them back for another Classic and can’t wait to see them take the pitch on August 29.

We’re excited to welcome back the combined side of Eugene Stags Rugby and Salem Keizer Rugby to the 2026 Cascade Classic!

Once again, these two proud Oregon clubs are joining forces for a day of hard rugby, great competition, and the camaraderie that makes our game so special.

There’s something uniquely rugby about clubs coming together, pulling on the same jersey, and competing as one. That’s exactly what the Cascade Classic is all about.

After a strong showing together last year, the Eugene/Salem combination returns looking to build on that partnership and take on the rest of the field at Big Sky Park.

We’re looking forward to seeing this Oregon collaboration back in Bend.

🐴 Moscow Rugby is heading back to Bend!

The crew from moscowrugby is returning to the 2026 Cascade Classic, and we’re excited to welcome them back from Idaho for another year of hard rugby and great camaraderie.

Known for their physical style of play and strong club culture, Moscow Rugby always brings plenty of energy to the pitch and embraces everything that makes tournaments like the Cascade Classic special.

They’re making the trip west once again, ready to take on clubs from across the Pacific Northwest and add another chapter to the Classic.

🦭🌊 The Steller Sea Lions are heading back to Bend!

We’re excited to welcome Steller Rugby Club back to the 2026 Cascade Classic.

Making the trip from Washington’s South Sound, the Sea Lions always bring a physical brand of rugby, plenty of club pride, and the kind of camaraderie that makes tournaments like the Cascade Classic so much fun.

They’re swapping the Puget Sound for the High Desert once again, trading ocean views for mountain peaks and bringing their trademark grit to Big Sky Park.

Whether they’re battling at the breakdown or catching up with friends after the final whistle, the Sea Lions embody everything we love about rugby culture.

We’re looking forward to another great weekend with our friends from the north.

🎩🏉 Old Boys are back at the Classic.

After some time on the sidelines, the Old Boys showcase returns to the 2026 Cascade Classic — and this time we’re welcoming some special guests to Bend.

We’re excited to host the Denver Highlanders Old Boys (Denver Highlanders RFC) as they make the trip west for an exhibition match celebrating everything we love about rugby: tradition, touring, friendships, and the stories that last long after the final whistle.

Because rugby isn’t just about the years you spend playing… it’s about the people you meet, the teams you share the pitch with, and the friendships that keep bringing you back.

So whether your boots are still getting muddy every weekend or they’ve been collecting dust for a few seasons — this one’s for the ruggers who built the game before us and the ones carrying it forward.
