Family Kitchen is partnering with Pampered Chef in a new fundraiser this month!

Pampered Chef is excited to raise funds to aid in alleviating food insecurity in our community.

20-30% of proceeds from each order placed during the fundraiser will be donated to Family Kitchen.

Please help us welcome Daniel, a new Meal Coordinator at our Bend kitchen!

A former volunteer, Daniel is excited to be joining the team in this new capacity. He loves chatting with diners and volunteers (make sure you say hi the next time you’re at the kitchen!) and appreciates the community building that is possible when we share a meal together.

When he’s not at the kitchen, Daniel enjoys singing + playing guitar, playing board games, making linoleum art, and more. He’s also a helicopter flight student at COCC!

We’re so grateful to have Daniel on the team!

Introducing Family Kitchen, one of the 4 local charities receiving the proceeds of this year's Duck Race.

Family Kitchen serves three dinners and five lunches each week in Bend and one dinner weekly in Sisters. In January 2024, they began providing meals six days a week in Redmond through partner agencies. They provide meals to the Bend Shelter, Sisters Cold Weather Shelter, Central Oregon Veteran’s Outreach efforts, Stepping Stone Shelter, Redmond Collective Action outreach, and other programs who deliver to those who can’t make the trip to town.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for NOURISH, our inaugural art gallery pop-up benefit celebrating creativity, community, and nourishment of the mind, body, and soul.

Because of our amazing partners, talented local artists, generous sponsors, volunteers, and every person who attended, this event was a roaring success. We celebrated the work of 18 Central Oregon artists while supporting Family Kitchen’s mission of providing nutritious meals to anyone in need. We got to come together in a beautiful space and tell stories. We connected the best way we know how - by sharing good food!

Nourishing the Body & Soul

Don’t miss this new pop-up art show, born from a partnership between Family Kitchen, FREAK’N ART, and Open Space Event Studios, in association with the Bend Central District Block Party. Local artists submitted work under the theme “Nourish” and will be donating a portion of each piece’s sale price back to Family Kitchen’s free meal program.

The event will be open to the public on June 27th as part of the Block Party, but purchasing tickets to the private showing and auction the evening before is highly encouraged for art enthusiasts. Those who join will be treated to drink vouchers and catered bites from Bleu Bite Catering, and will be entered into a raffle that includes prizes from Brasada Ranch and Wanderlust Tours. They will also have first access to the art auction, including “Buy It Now” options for each piece.
