During a time of rising costs throughout our industry, we at Confluence are determined to keep fly fishing as affordable as possible. For that reason, we are bringing back the Confluence Fly Club!

During our Trout Opener Celebration on the 18th, we will be releasing a limited number of member pucks. For a one time purchase of $50, Fly Club members will receive 25% off on flies FOR LIFE as long as they come in with their puck!

❗️Salmonfly Dates Booking Fast❗️

It may be February, but May is rapidly approaching! We at Confluence Fly Shop and Deep Canyon Outfitters are looking forward to another season on the Lower D and dates for the famed salmonfly hatch are filling up fast!

We have been taking calls all week looking for dates, but we still have some prime ones available in mid-to-late May for those wanting to experience the spectacle that is the salmonfly hatch on the Lower Deschutes River.

🎣 Saturdays are for Spey 🎣

Next Saturday, 2/7 at 8am, join us below Bill Healy Bridge for a special edition of our FREE clinic, “Saturdays are for Spey”. This month, we will have a guest instructor, , who is an extremely proficient caster, spey angler, and guide!

The clinic will take place between 8am - 10am at Farewell Bend Park on the sandy beach. No RSVP is required. Come dressed in your waders and boots and bring your rods if you have them! We hope to see you then.

🐜💧 Aquatic Entymology 💧🐜

Another winter, another set of Aquatic Entymology clinics with shop owner ! For those who haven’t attended before, this FREE clinic runs from 10am-12pm this Saturday here in the shop and focuses on understanding our local bug-life, their life-cycles, and how we can best imitate them as anglers!

We will also be doing a live demonstration out on the river after the class to get a peek at the bugs we will be learning about (around 12:30pm).

No sign-up is required and we hope to see you here in the shop on Saturday at 10am! For those who can’t make it this time around, we will be having a Feb. and March session, as well.

🎥 New Tying Tutorials + YouTube 🎥

After losing access to our previous YouTube channel, we have started a new one! Featured on this page will be video how-to’s, tying tutorials, fishing reports, and more! It would be a great support if you all were able to check it out and subscribe!

Our first TWO tying tutorials will be posted today: RIO’s Soccer Mom and the Klamath Intruder and more will be posted every other Friday at 7am PST!

🌊🦀🐟 Saltwater Fly Tying 🐟🦀🌊

Dreaming of warmer locales on this blustery Central Oregon day?

This year, in addition to our normal fly tying courses, we will also be offering a saltwater-focused class!

Learn to tie shrimp, crabs, baitfish, and more with here in the shop! This class will consist of four sessions, 2 hours each, every Wednesday in January.

For signups, please visit the “Events” tab on our website and navigate to the January 7th session. At the bottom of the page is a link to purchase your seat today! All materials and vises are included in the cost of the class.

This is an intermediate level class, so expierience in tying is necessary.
