Calling all volunteers! One of our favorite programs, Jason's Run & Recharge Family Respite Night, gives unpaid caregivers of children with disabilities 3 free hours of childcare every three months. Real time to recharge, which can be hard to come by.
šļø Next date: Wednesday, August 12th 5-8pm (We'd love your help!)
We need volunteers to come play with kids while their caregivers get a night out! You don't need to commit to every night, just show up when you can. You'll build real skills too: communication, inclusion, flexibility, and quick thinking, all while helping a family recharge.
This program is supported by the Jason Opdyke Memorial Fund.

A note from our friends over at Oregon Health Authority:
ā° Need extra time to evacuate? Leave one level earlier.
If you or someone in your household may need additional time to evacuateāincluding older adults, people with disabilities or access and functional needs, families with young children, those who rely on medical equipment, or anyone with pets or livestockāconsider taking action one evacuation level earlier.
š¢ Level 1 ā Be Ready: If your household may need extra time to evacuate, consider preparing as though you're already at Level 2.
š” Level 2 ā Be Set: If you need additional time because of disabilities, access and functional needs, medical needs, children, pets, or livestock, consider leaving now rather than waiting for Level 3.
š“ Level 3 ā Go Now: Leave immediately. Do not delay.
Planning ahead can help you travel more safely, avoid traffic, and reduce stress during an evacuation.

Join the Bend Police Department for National Night Out, a free evening of family fun.
CODSN will be there so stop by and say hi! There will be a dedicated sensory space, all are welcome.
Enjoy music, lawn games, face painting, bounce houses, K9 and drone demos, vehicles to explore, and free hot dogs. Plus, the first hour (4-5pm) is sensory friendly with lower music, no sirens, and no flashing lights. Sensory kits available courtesy of CODSN.
