WOW. JUST WOW.

Our buckets are OVERFLOWING tonight.

To every single person who showed up for our very first BEAM Ball — THANK YOU. We are overwhelmed by the love, generosity, and support that filled that room tonight.

I cannot WAIT to tell our kids how many people showed up for them. How many people believe in them. How many people are cheering them on, even if they’ve never met them. I cannot wait to tell them that an entire room full of people came together because they matter. And they BELONG. 💛

In all my nervousness tonight, I tried so hard to thank everyone, and somehow I left out two of the most important people.

LIV AND EMMY. ❤️

You two are, hands down, the best teammates I have ever had. The amount of heart, time, energy, and hard work you poured into making tonight happen is impossible to put into words. You believed in this, you worked your tails off, and you made something absolutely incredible happen. There is nobody I would rather be doing this work alongside. I am so ridiculously grateful for both of you.

Dusty and Stacia — this town is so incredibly lucky to have you. You lead, you inspire, you lift people up, and you make this community better just by being who you are. You are truly amazing humans, and we are so lucky to know you.

And to our friends — you know who you are. The ones who show up, who cheer us on, who jump in when we need help, who believe in us even when things get hard. Thank you for always being so firmly in our corner. We have never, for one single second, been alone in this. And that is something we will never take for granted.

To our sponsors, donors, volunteers, families, and every person who helped make tonight possible…You helped us show our kids what it looks like when a community says, “We see you. We believe in you. And there is a place for you here.”

Tonight was about unmasking, belonging, and celebrating the beautiful humans our kids already are. And wow, did this community show up.

Our buckets are full. 💜

✨ Tomorrow is the day! Our FIRST EVER BEAM Ball! ✨
Before the festivities begin, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible people who have helped make this night possible.
To our sponsors, community supporters, friends, and families: you have filled our buckets to the brim! 🪣💛
Every donation, sponsorship, shared post, encouraging word, and helping hand has reminded us just how lucky we are to be surrounded by a community that believes in our kids and what we’re building together.
And a HUGE shoutout to Liv and Emmy, who have poured an unbelievable amount of time, energy, creativity, and heart into bringing this event to life. The behind-the-scenes work has been enormous, and it wouldn’t have happened without them. 💛
Tomorrow, we get to celebrate more than a fundraiser. We get to celebrate a community that believes every child deserves a place to belong.
We can’t wait to see everyone, celebrate together, and maybe shed a few happy tears along the way.
There’s still time to join us! If you’ve been thinking about coming, send us a DM for last-minute discounted tickets. We’d love to have you there!
Here’s to the first BEAM Ball and everyone who helped make it happen! 🥂✨

This girl is ready to fly.
She has come so far, worked so hard, and gained so many skills. She’s playing soccer, expanding her circle, trying new things, and realizing that she really can do it.
I knew this day was coming. It’s one of the most bittersweet parts of BEAM- when a student doesn’t need us in quite the same way anymore.
And that’s the whole point.
We want our students to build the skills, confidence, and connections they need to step more fully into their own lives. We want them to need us less. But man… that doesn’t make it easy to say goodbye to seeing them every day.
I am so incredibly proud of you, Pipes. We will be in your corner cheering you on. Always.
Go fly, sweet girl.

BEAM had a wonderful time at Educator Night Out at the High Desert Museum! Emmy, our Director of Community Engagement, and Liv, our Director of Operations, had the opportunity to connect with educators from across our community, share resources, and build relationships with the people supporting many of the same students and families we serve.
Supporting kids is a community effort. When educators and community partners know one another, communicate, and share resources, we’re better able to support our shared students.
The more connected we are, the more our students can thrive.
Thank you to the High Desert Museum for bringing our educator community together!!💛

We had some very special bucket fillers visit BEAM! 💛
A huge thank you to Dave from Goody’s and his daughter, Emily, for stopping by BEAM and for their incredibly generous donation to our program!
Goody’s has been a staple in our Central Oregon community for so many years, which made this visit extra special. Our kids were beyond excited to meet Dave—and there were some very enthusiastic handshakes happening! 😊
At BEAM, we talk a lot about being a bucket filler: someone who uses their words and actions to make someone else’s day a little better. Dave and Emily gave our kids a pretty wonderful real-life example of exactly what that looks like.
Emily, thank you for choosing to help other kids and for being such an amazing bucket filler. Your kindness means so much to us. 💛
And thank you, Dave and Goody’s, for showing our students what it looks like when a community shows up for one another.
Our buckets are definitely fuller today.

Last night was such an unexpected gift. 💛
To the 100 Women Who Care – Central Oregon Chapter, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
If you’re not familiar with this incredible organization, they bring women together to support nonprofits across Central Oregon. Members hear about local organizations and then vote on where their collective giving will make an impact.
Last night, BEAM was chosen.

This is what it looks like to fill the buckets of others. 🪣💛

This grant will help us grow our Sunshine Scholarship Fund, so we can continue offering scholarships to families and making sure more kids have access to a place where they belong.
Because all kids deserve somewhere they belong. No exceptions.
Last night, 100 Women Who Care made that possible for more children.
We are deeply, deeply grateful. 💛

We’re so excited to invite you to BEAM’s first-ever annual fundraising ball!

This is an opportunity to bring community leaders, local business owners, friends, family, and supporters together to learn more about BEAM, celebrate the young people we serve, and invest in their futures.

Our theme this year is UNMASKED: A Night of Belonging.
We don’t ask kids to mask who they are, change themselves, or fit into a certain mold in order to belong. We believe every child deserves to show up exactly as they are, and know they have a place in their community. No exceptions.

So come as you are. 💜

Join us for an evening of connection, music, stories, small bites, refreshments, and meaningful giving as we work toward some BIG goals for BEAM:

✨ Building scholarship funds so no child is turned away because of their family’s financial circumstances
✨ Expanding our daytime tutoring program
✨ Growing our summer programming
✨ Creating a mentor program for BEAM alumni students

Your presence matters. Your support matters. And your network matters.
If you’ve been looking for a way to learn more about BEAM, get involved, or help create more opportunities for local kids, we’d love to have you in the room.

Thank you, Cow Creek!

A huge thank you to Cow Creek for the generous grant that made BEAM’s summer programming possible!

Because of their support, our students had a summer filled with opportunities to play in the creek, explore, build friendships and connections, and strengthen their reading and writing skills!

We are so grateful that Cow Creek saw the value in our students and believed in BEAM’s work. Their support helped us create a summer where our kids could belong, learn, grow, and have a whole lot of fun along the way. ❤️

Feel like helping get some much needed tools off our wish list? I know some kids that will get their buckets filled!! (Link in comment and story!)

This little girl has worked so incredibly hard on her reading. She has come so far and it was time to give her a special shout out. She came knowing most of her letter sounds, but no idea how to put them together. It has been an absolute honor teaching her how to. She’s currently reading cvc books and proud is an understatement.
