10 years ago when I first started building vertical environment systems I wanted to finish the holes in these air ducks with a nice Gromit for looks so I bought and placed about 400 grommets. Then when I turn the system on there was an audible hum of vibration.
it wasn’t loud it just was so I asked two of the growers to come into the room and listen to it, and one of them said well we know plants respond to music and sound, that was enough for me. I removed every other grommet to see if that would make the sound go away and then I removed more grommets cause I want to leave some for the looks on the bottom row where people could see and I never bothered with grommets again
