Nearly 75% of Americans have been targeted by an online scam. 🧡
That's a sobering statistic, but it's also a reminder that awareness is one of the most powerful tools we have in the fight against fraud.
Throughout October, we're joining the American Bankers Association and banks across the country in the campaign, helping consumers recognize common scam tactics and learn how to spot red flags before fraud happens.
Scammers often rely on urgency, fear, secrecy, and impersonation. A Scam Slayer knows how to pause, question suspicious requests, and protect personal and financial information.
This Cybersecurity Awareness Month, we'll be sharing tips and resources to help you stay one step ahead of scammers.

It's weird for your bank to ask your take on the pumpkin spice debate... almost as weird as banks asking for your PIN in a phone call — total scammer move.

ICYMI: A community showed up for local students. 🧡
During halftime of the Sturgis Scoopers' Homecoming game, our Sturgis branch had the privilege of presenting a $6,000 donation along with a large collection of food and personal care items to the Scooper Closet and Stallion Closet programs.
These school-based pantries help ensure students have access to food and essential hygiene items when they need them most. The donation will help expand resources and strengthen support for students throughout the school year.
As Mary Weber, Senior Community Branch Manager, shared: "Together, we are helping ensure that students have access to the nourishment they need to learn, grow and succeed."
Thank you to everyone who donated food, hygiene items, and supported this effort. Community partnerships like these make a real difference.

A simple afternoon at the movies can mean so much more when everyone feels welcome. 🧡🎬
On September 26, families from across the Tri-Cities gathered at Fairchild Cinemas for Arc of Tri-Cities' Free Movie Day, an event designed to create an inclusive and welcoming movie experience for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the people who support them.
By removing barriers and creating an environment where everyone could participate comfortably, The Arc of Tri-Cities helped make a favorite community activity accessible to more families. The event brought together individuals, caregivers, family members, and friends for an afternoon focused on connection, inclusion, and fun.
“Events like this make a real difference because they create opportunities for everyone to feel included and connected,” said Nick Clark, Community Branch Manager. “A day at the movies may seem simple, but for many families, having a welcoming environment designed with their needs in mind means being able to participate fully in a community experience together.”
We're proud to support organizations like Arc of Tri-Cities that help create communities where everyone has the opportunity to belong.

436 items. 347 pounds. Countless acts of generosity. 🧡
The food drive at our Spearfish Main, SD, branch has officially wrapped up, and we're excited to share the results.
Together, our employees, clients, and community members donated 436 non-perishable food items totaling 347 pounds for the Spearfish Community Food Pantry, a volunteer-run nonprofit serving local families.
As demand for food assistance continues to grow and grocery costs remain high, community support is more important than ever. Every can, box, and bag donated helps ensure our neighbors have access to nutritious food when they need it most.
Thank you to everyone who picked up an orange bag, filled it, and helped make a difference. Your generosity is helping strengthen our community one donation at a time.

September is Self-Improvement Month 🌱 — and we love this as an opportunity to talk about one of the most impactful areas for personal growth: your financial habits.
Five habits that can make a real difference over time:
1️⃣ Automating savings — remove the decision and make it effortless
2️⃣ Reviewing your plan annually — life changes; your plan should too
3️⃣ Practicing intentional spending — align where money goes with what you value
4️⃣ Protecting your plan — reviewing insurance coverage every few years
5️⃣ Having important conversations — with family and your advisor
You don't have to overhaul everything at once. Pick one. Build from there.
