Chick Flick Films

As much as I come from the VFX background I am never a fan of the over use of green screen in film. So we tried during principal photography to get this scene practically and we did, but... It just wasn't up to the quality of the rest of the film, so I decided to reshoot sections of this scene on green screen. Carson killed the lighting and I think it will cut seamlessly!

Last bit of camera prep today before the last day of filming for 24 Hours To Orbit. Huge thanks to Thor for coming all the way up from Eugene. Excited to have him on board for this last bit of filming! And big shout out to Joey for jumping in last minute to help fill in.

In between green screen tests, story boarding and location scouting, it was nice to get out and have a relaxing date night with Ashley. I absolutely love the rooftop bar at McMenamins, it was the perfect evening last night.

Today Emma and I spent the afternoon transporting set design elements up to our crash site location for the final pick up day of ! She did not enjoy it to say the least. lol. 😅 But the time and sweat we put in today will make the day so much quicker and smoother! Plus, this is the location we had the overnight fiasco at. So hopefully the crew will appreciate not having to lug everything up there in the middle of the night again. 😬

It's these quiet moments that make the exciting ones possible.

4th of July, 2026:
No fireworks this year, except for a few well placed pop-its! But the family all got together up at the lake and the weather even cooperated. Kids went tubbing and we even ended the night with an impromptu neighborhood parade, "Shot-Ski" included. lol. Pro-tip, fireball rolled by screwball is not recommended. 😬
