This year’s theme is ‘Homecoming’, exploring what it means to return to a place, a person, a memory, or a version of oneself, inviting work that examines how people, societies and ecosystems find their way back to themselves.⁠

Nancy Floyd () has been named series winner for Weathering Time, a 40+ year long project, an almanac of self-portraiture tracing how vast forces surface in the everyday - the environment and ecology, American individualism, mortality and grief. ⁠
⁠
In the single image category, the 25 selected photographers explore the theme across emotional and political landscapes. Among them, Greg Holland's documentary image of a young Palestinian shepherd bringing his sheep home carries a quiet spiritual weight. Ievgen Stepanets presents a solitary playground in Georgia, exploring how safety and belonging begin to form in the aftermath of conflict.⁠
