ADD/DROP DEADLINE: Wednesday, Sept. 16
Need to make changes to your fall schedule? Wednesday, Sept. 16 is the deadline to:
- Add or drop classes
- Change the unit value of a variable-unit course
- Make sure you’re enrolled in at least 12 units and making normal progress toward your major
Still on a waitlist? If you don’t want to be added to the class after the deadline, make sure you drop yourself from the waitlist.
Don’t wait until the last minute — review your schedule and make any needed changes by Wednesday, Sept. 16.
09/04/2026
Registration isn’t finished when you’ve picked your classes!
Before September 16, take a few minutes to make sure your schedule is actually where it needs to be:
- Add the courses you want and drop the ones you don’t
- Update units for variable-unit courses if needed
- Enroll yourself in research programs like URAP — advisers don’t enroll you in these
- Remove yourself from waitlists you no longer want
- Check CalCentral to make sure your schedule looks correct
**Then check your academic requirements:**
- Are you enrolled in at least 12 units?
- Do you have at least 2 technical courses of 3+ units each? (ENGIN 26 is an exception.)
- Are you making normal progress toward your declared major?
If you’re unsure about your schedule or requirements, your ESS adviser is here to help you figure out what to check: engineering.berkeley.edu/ess or check the link in our bio.
