Salaam azeezan, Happy Valentine’s Day or as we say in Farsi:
“Ruz-e Valentine Mobarak”
Or you may replace the word Valentine with the Farsi word for LOVE = ESHGH!
“Ruz-e eshgh Mobarak”❤️
Of couse you can always seal the deal by calling your significant other:
Eshgh-e man= love of mine🌞
The choice is yours🌞
روز عشق مبارک💕

Salaam azeezan, Chetooreen?
Now that we’re in full Holiday season, it’s time to get ready for the new year🌞. Yes you guessed it right, once again we need our lovely & versatile word: “mobarak”!
So we would be saying:
“Sal-e no mobarak”!
As simple as that😅& you’re ready for the new year👏👏❤️
Sal-e no mobarak azeezan🥳🎉🎊💐

12/13/2024

Salaam azeeza! We’re officially entering the Holiday season🩷 This is just a reminder to make good use of the word: “mobarak”مبارک🎊
The first occasion is only a few days away on December 21st.
Next Saturday we’ll be celebrating Shab-e Yalda or the winter Solstice Persian style.
This tradition goes back to more than 3000 years ago when Persian’s were Zoroastrians. Some simple yet powerful highlights of Zoroastrianism:
We think good thoughts
We say good things
We do good deeds!
On Shab-e Yalda, the longest night of the year we stay up all night in order to: not let the evil forces & darkness take over our lives:).
Shab-e Yalda mobarak❤️

Salaam azeezan, as promised here we are following up with a post about the groom or « daamaad » in Farsi.
Daamaad also has two meanings :
The groom & son in law.
But no worries if you are becoming a daamaad in an Iranian family.
I know you’re a little bit scared by the previous post!
Since everything is about the « arous «
but remember that your wife’s family will have your back for ever. You get served first at the dinner table!
Their daughter has to peel fresh fruit & feed it to you, you get the first skewer of « kabaab » the perks are endless🤓……
Mobarak to all the new & old
arous & daamaadعروس و داماد
🎉💕

Salaam azeezan🙋‍♀️
If you’ve ever been to a Persian wedding I’m sure you’ve heard the word: Arousعروس.
Arous means bride & the whole party you went to is called: “arousi” عروسی🌞so as one of our students mentioned the other day: it’s all about the “arous” even the wedding party is named after her. By the way, daughter in law is also “Arous”. So, next time you go to an “arousi”=wedding, remember to tell the “arous” Mobarak❤️
Please stay tuned for the next post where we talk about the
“damad”= the groom🌞
