Cherry red, hand-painted in layers on white Xuan paper from my homeland. Each petal was intentionally painted, laminated, wrinkled, shaped, formed, and hand-cut. There is no duplicate use of a single template — every petal is individual and treated as its own piece of art, forming the signature red ring pattern of these red-and-white Jerusalem anemone flowers. My art practice is a slow meditation on beauty and life.

Strawberry Waterfall. This is one of those pieces I had meant to finish but somehow after sticking it into a vase it seems to be complete as it is. Maybe that’s a metaphor for life?

Super excited to test these new colors out! The shorter stack also makes it easier to store fine crepe compared to long rolls. I bought these at Rose Mille, one of my fave spots to get crepe paper.

Come join me!🪴I’m teaching how to make a paper mini monstera, inspired by the Japanese kokedama planting style — where roots are wrapped in a moss-covered soil ball.
We’ll build it step by step with crepe paper and more: leaves, stems, faux soil, moss, and roots. And once you’ve got these techniques down, you can apply them to all kinds of paper plants and flowers — it’s a skill class as much as a project class.

This one’s part of the Craft Discovery Summit 2026, a FREE 5-day online event (Aug 10–14) with 35+ craft teachers across 5 themed days. Sessions stay free to watch for 48 hours after they go live, so you can learn at your own pace.

If you’ve been meaning to try out a class from me — this is your sign. 🖐️

Something new is blooming 🌱 I am releasing a video class teaching how to make a paper mini monstera — inspired by Japanese kokedama, where the roots nestle into a ball of soil and moss instead of a pot.
In the class I walk through building the whole piece with crepe paper and craft supplies: leaves, stems, faux soil, moss, even the roots. Bonus — these techniques transfer beautifully to other paper plants & flowers, so it’s a great one to add to your repertoire.

It’s part of the Craft Discovery Summit 2026 — a FREE 5-day online event (Aug 10–14) with 35+ craft experts. Each session streams free for 48 hours, so you can drop in whenever it fits your life.
