Teachers and admin gathered in the Art studio for an artistic, grounding warmup during workweek. Everyone was instructed to take a line for a walk, using one long piece of paper and a marker. Starting on the left, we made a continuous line drawing that represented one whole day. Some chose to visually represent their typical workday, their entire teaching journey, and even their heartbeat rhythm on a busy day! We love to see such a variety of interpretations. How would your line move across the page? 〰️ ✍🏽

We are thrilled to share that the Board of Trustees has unanimously selected Rachel Skiffer as The Berkeley School’s Interim Head of School.

Rachel brings a deep connection to TBS’s mission and the skills and experience to lead us into an exciting next chapter. As a community rooted in the East Bay and committed to every kind of learner, we couldn’t be more excited to welcome such a thoughtful and proven leader in Rachel.

It is SO good to have kids on our campus again! Today we welcomed our Depot friends and had a great time playing in the sun (and building with legos in the shade!) happy first day to all of our BUSD friends!
